Still. Pure. Refined.
MARLBOROUGH SAUVIGNON BLANC 2025
ABOUTWHERE STILLNESS SPEAKS
In Māori, papahū carries the quiet resonance of an echo — a sound that moves across still water and returns transformed. It is something sensed rather than heard, felt in the chest rather than the ears. A presence, not a noise. A connection, not a statement.
This is the spirit that guides every bottle. Papahū is a wine born from restraint. From the decision to let the land speak, and to listen before pouring. Minimal intervention, considered winemaking, and a deep respect for the rare beauty that Marlborough's terroir offers when treated with patience.
Where other wines announce themselves, Papahū arrives softly. Its elegance is not performed — it is simply present. The label, the colour, the silence between sips: everything is designed to invite you to slow down and notice.
Papahū is New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc at its most calm and considered. A wine for those who seek quality beyond volume, and pleasure beyond the obvious.
“Minimal and refined — Papahū favours restraint over excess.”
TERROIRDRAWN FROM MARLBOROUGH
At the northern tip of New Zealand's South Island, Marlborough is one of the world's most celebrated Sauvignon Blanc regions. Framed by mountain ranges and cooled by coastal air drifting in from the Pacific, it is a landscape defined by light, clarity and quiet drama.
Ancient river systems have shaped its stony, free-draining soils over millennia. These soils retain just enough warmth to coax ripeness from the vine, while the cool nights preserve freshness and protect the delicate aromatic compounds that give Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc its unmistakable precision.
Long hours of sunshine build concentration and depth. The coastal winds moderate the growing season, slowing ripening and allowing flavour complexity to develop gradually, layer by layer. The result is fruit of exceptional purity — fine-textured, focused and alive.
Papahū reflects this environment entirely. It is not a wine that attempts to transcend its origins. It is a wine that listens to them.
THE WINESAUVIGNON BLANC — 2025
